CRITIQUE GROUP
Crit Club - a biweekly critique group - 2 hours every other week - ONLINE
This biweekly critique group will meet throughout the fall. Participants will receive feedback on their work multiple times during the session. By developing a sense of trust and rapport within the group, everyone will gain an understanding of each other's process and way of thinking. This will allow the feedback offered to be most specific and relevant. The schedule will encourage individuals to make new work in order to take advantage of the communal insight of the group.
MINI WORKSHOPS - 1.5 hour

Pen to Paper - how to start writing your artist statement
This workshop outlines a process of reflection and articulation that will guide the reluctant artist to write about their work. The goal is to enable participants to express; in their own voice, the uniqueness of their practice, while also helping them move forward creatively. I will begin with statement guidelines and discussion about the act of writing, as a visual person. The task of writing will be broken down into manageable components. A handout is provided with tools to get you started.
This workshop is ideally paired with: Print to Paper
Print to Paper - refining your draft statement
This workshop lays out the process of editing and shaping your artist statement so that it truly reflects how you think and work. We'll begin with a refresher on statement guidelines and together we review the writing process. Then, I will lay out a process of editing that is clear and simple and will result in a statement you can be proud of. You will walk away with a handout that includes additional online resources.
